The Vikings wrestled three matches at the Lake Steven’s Duals on Tuesday and, based on matches wrestled only, won all three!
The Vikings wrestled Arlington, Kelso, and Blaine High Schools.
Wrestling great and going undefeated on the day were: Shane Merrill (112), Jake Lowe (171 – 3 pins), & Yuji Pearce (189 – 3 pins)
This was not a dual meet or placing tournament and only served to pair-up schools for matches as a precursor to the tournament on Wednesday.
The team saw some fantastic individual and team performances, including: Hermiston (Oregon) defeating Lake Stevens High School and a great dual meet between University HS (Spokane) and Lake Stevens that ended in a 29-29 tie and was decided by the 6th criteria! Tahoma & Yelm High Schools also looked dominant in their performances.
